How does the caliper and weight change on board that is wax impregnated and coated with a waterproof adhesive?

MEMBER:I have a question concerning how the caliper & weight change on board that is wax impregnated & coated with a waterproof adhesive. The board in question is 350BC (42-33-42-33-42) with all mediums & liners wax impregnated & the liners coated with waterproof adhesive. Thank you for your time & any information you can offer.
Ralph Young: This maybe more information than what you orginally asked for, but you maybe able to use it in the future. The water resistant adhesive should not add any increased caliper to the combined board. The 42# liners can vary in caliper by 0.004 inches themselves. Curtain coated board usually increases in caliper by 0.004 inches and cascaded boxes increase from 0.004 to 0.008 inches in thickness. Wax pickup for curtain coated boxes is ideal at 8 pound per MSF. Cascaded boxes pick up 35-40% wax so your examples would have 76# ro 87 # of wax per MSF.
